At Kisaju Fresh Herbs, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability throughout our operations. Our certifications ensure that our products meet rigorous national and international standards, giving our customers confidence in the safety, quality, and sustainability of our herbs.
We are proud to be Global G.A.P. certified, which reflects our adherence to globally recognized agricultural practices. Global G.A.P. (Good Agricultural Practices) certification covers a wide range of criteria, including:
- Food Safety: Ensuring that our herbs are produced in a way that minimizes risks to food safety.
- Environmental Sustainability: Using practices that protect natural resources and promote biodiversity.
- Worker Health and Safety: Providing safe working conditions for all employees in accordance with international labor standards.
With Global G.A.P. certification, our customers can be assured that our herbs are produced sustainably and responsibly, adhering to strict food safety and environmental standards.
We are also certified by GRASP. This certification focuses on social practices within the agricultural supply chain, ensuring that we meet standards for worker welfare and social responsibility. GRASP covers critical aspects:
- Workers’ Rights: Ensuring fair wages, reasonable working hours, and the protection of workers’ rights.
- Health and Safety: Guaranteeing that all employees work in safe conditions.
- Legal Compliance: Meeting all legal requirements concerning labor and social issues.
By being GRASP-certified, we demonstrate our commitment to the well-being of our workforce, ensuring that our farming practices not only meet global standards for environmental sustainability but also for social responsibility.
The Agriculture and Food authority (AFA)– Horticultural Crops Directorate (HCD) certification is a mandatory requirement for any Kenyan company involved in the production and export of horticultural produce. This certification ensures that we comply with Kenya’s stringent regulations regarding the safe production, handling, and export of fresh produce. Our HCD certification guarantees that we meet both local and international standards in the cultivation and exportation of our herbs.
We work closely with the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) to ensure that our crops meet all phytosanitary standards. KEPHIS is responsible for ensuring that our herbs are free from pests and diseases before they are exported to international markets. This certification ensures that all our products meet the phytosanitary requirements of the importing countries, thereby safeguarding the health of plants and maintaining the highest standards in plant quality and health.
Our Commitment to Compliance and Quality
We are dedicated to upholding the highest standards across all stages of our production. Our certifications ensure that every herb we grow, process, and export meets the strictest international regulations for quality, safety, and sustainability.
